If you’re a “Twilight” fan, you don’t have to ask me what is finally here. At midnight Thursday, the long anticipated, first showing at Movies 10 in Brainerd will be “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.” Finally! It is so exciting!
I’ve already heard from teenagers who plan to go to the midnight show, and I’m sure some adults will too. I’d like to, but there is no way I could stay up that late, no matter how badly I want to see the new “Twilight” movie. I have two kids to wake up in the morning for school and even though I have the day off at work, I’ve got other things I have to do. I’m normally not the type of person who likes crowds and going to the premiere of a movie where the theater will be packed, especially with giddy teenagers — is not my cup of tea. I know what a whiner I am, I should just kick it in the shorts and go .... We’ll see.
“Breaking Dawn” is the fourth and final novel in The Twilight Saga by American author Stephenie Meyer. Don’t scold me but I have not read any of the books. I’d love too, but I don’t have a lot of time and have you seen those books? They’re gynormous!
If you don’t want to hear any hints about the new “Twilight” movie — you better not read the next paragraph of this blog!
“Breaking Dawn” is where dreamy-eyed, (...sigh) Edward and Bella get married and she becomes pregnant with a half-human, half-vampire child. Jacob, who is still in love with Bella, fights to keep Bella and her unborn baby safe by forming a second wolf pack.
What will the outcome be? Will Bella become a vampire? Will the unborn child be safe? Will she stay with Edward or move on to Jacob? If you read the book you know the answers. If you didn’t, you’ll have to go see the movie.
Regardless of the ending and even if you know the ending, it will be a great movie. I mean really, you get to see actor Robert Pattinson in action and in love.
Ahhhhhh ... can you tell I’m an Edward fan?
