The Crossing Arts Alliance formed the “Flipside: Crossing Kids” in 2002 to support and encourage kids in all their creative endeavors. Throughout the year Flipside offers youth art programming for children of all ages, including 2nd Saturday arts activities, Arty Parties, Celebrate the Young at Art, framed childrens' art at the Brainerd YMCA, summer arts camps, scholarships for graduating seniors, and more.
Crossing Arts Alliance activities are funded, in part, by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Five Wings Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund; and grants from Sertoma Winter Wonderland and the Anderson Family Legacy Fund.
