Peter Weizenegger Retrospective (1947 - 2007)

“Peter was a gifted artist. He worked primarily as a sculptor with precision, detail and humor as his trademarks. Peter worked as a museum preparator for the Tweed. His artistic talents translated to framing and arranging exhibits that enhanced and individualized each artwork.
He lived his life fishing the lakes of northern Minnesota. To Peter, any day on the water was a good day. ‘Boat for Sale.’” — from Peter’s obituary in the Brainerd Dispatch

Peter Weizenegger’s family and friends have gathered select pieces of Peter’s artwork, many items that have never been exhibited publically, for a retrospective at The Crossing Art Alliance Q Gallery at Franklin Arts Center, 1001 Kingwood St #222, in Brainerd, MN. Peter’s sister, Jean Borkenhagen of RiverPlace Communication Arts, is coordinating the artwork selection and directing the exhibition. This free exhibition is Feb 1 to 29, Tues to Fri from noon to 4pm, and open to the public. The reception is Sat, Feb 11, from 4 to 7pm.
