You’ll have “Felt” the Fun with Artist Michelle Pfeiffer*
We’re transforming our story time area into a huge felt wall. Local artist Michelle Pfeiffer will join us to show children how to create some fun felt art pieces that they can use on the new interactive felt wall. Each story time has a special time and theme:

• Monday, Nov 5, 6:00pm- Welcome to My House

Story time: John Jeremy Colton Read-aloud

Felt Art Fun: Alphabet Art Magnet…create your first initial out of felt…John-Jeremy will inspire you to show your true colors! Polka-dots, stripes and other artsy fun encouraged. You will want to hang this magnetic masterpiece on the fridge as soon as you get home.

Story time: Farm by Elisha Cooper Read-aloud

Felt Art Fun: Felt Art Fun: Funny Farm Friends…create a felt farm animal with personality. Celebrate the magic of the farm…and bring your farm friend home to play!

• Monday, Nov 19, 6:00pm - We're Goin' to the Zoo

Story time: Color Zoo (Lois Ehlert) Read Aloud

Felt Art Fun: Colorful Zoo Puppets…use colorful felt shapes to create a zany zoo puppet. You will love to put on a puppet show with these animal friends.

Author Alison McGhee*-Tuesday, November 13th @ 1:00pm-Alison McGhee, a Minnesota award winning author of books for all ages will present to different age groups. McGhee is a Pulitzer Prize nominee and a #1 New York Times bestselling author.

Nov 18, Sunday 3:00pm – Tiptoe Through the 60s*—Prudence Johnson & Dan Chouinard, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 6190 Fairview Rd, Baxter, 3pm. These multi-talented musicians and writers will present a multi-media show on the 1960s including music, photos, dialogue, and more. You won’t want to miss this class performance on grand piano with vocals by Prudence Johnson.

Nov 19th—4pm-Family Book Club - Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator by Roald Dahl
Join us for our monthly family book club for kids ages 8-12. Pick up a copy of the book at the library and read it together before book club. Then come to the book club and talk about your reading experience while making fun crafts. Snacks too! Family Book Club is a great way to foster a lifetime of reading in your family. Ask about it today!

Day off of school —Masked in Fun*
Nov 26 -11am-11:45 : PreK with Parents workshop: Artist Marie Olofsdotter will use her artistic puppets & masks to talk to children about emotions. What does happy look like? You’ll see it at this fun program.

Nov 26 -1-4pm: Mask-making Intensive Workshop for kids ages 9-15, starting with base knowledge, sketching out design and building/creating a mask from a paper plate base and building out 3-D from there using a variety of supplies, hot glue and such. Register by calling 829-5574.

December 1st- from 10am-2pm, Friends of the Library Open House- Stop in to see the library’s great holiday decorations and have some refreshments too.
