"If you wish to be a writer, write." But how? You've got the great idea, the one that won't let you go, that embellishes itself as you walk around your day. How do you turn that good idea into a great novel, and what do you do with it after you write it? Join author and college professor Jess Lourey at the Brainerd Public Library from 10am-12pm on Saturday, March 10th for the answers. Participants will be shown how to go from idea to completed novel in seven steps and receive detailed information on cracking the world of publishing. This seminar has been taught by Jess in New York City, New Orleans, Bethesda, and San Francisco, and now it's coming to your neck of the woods! The workshop is free and open to the public. Jess Lourey, Minnesota mystery author from St. Cloud will be here this March. She is a delight and is sure to entertain She will present one of two workshops, either Writing Minnesota Mysteries or Writing and Publishing. Lourey is the author of the Lefty-nominated Murder-by-Month mysteries set in Battle Lake, Minnesota, and featuring amateur sleuth, Mira James. Her most recent book, October Fest, was just released last summer. Jess has been teaching writing and sociology at the college level since 1998.
