In celebration of Grandparents Day on Sunday, September 11th the Brainerd Library will give out a free book to every child that comes into the library with their grandparent September 12th -17th. The library will also have a special story time on Tuesday, September 13th at 10:15 am. Kids are invited to bring grandma or grandpa along for some great books on what makes grandparents so special. Kids will then see some fun items used in the 1940's and 1950's borrowed from the Crow Wing County Historical Society. Check out an old fashioned metal hand blender or an ice cream carton that was made in Brainerd. Stick around for some ice cream too!! Everyone is welcome.
