We will be discussing a memoir called The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. This book is both heartbreaking and inspiring. It is the story of children who survive the horrible exploits of their parents. The children dream of a better life and eventually survive. Even in normal situations parents worry that their children feel they could have done better. This is a story of parents who can not seem to get anything right and children who learn to take care of themselves and each other.
You can pick up a copy of this book at the front desk in the library. Hope to see you at the Book Club. Refreshments will be provided.
