The Minnesota Percussion Trio

The Minnesota Percussion Trio to tour Kitchigami Libraries for CLICKS, CLAPS AND CLUNK!

The Minnesota Percussion Trio will tour Kitchigami Libraries and communities for a performance of their most popular program, CLICKS, CLAPS, AND CLUNK! The Trio will perform at Brainerd Public Library on Friday, April 29 at 4:00pm.

The Minnesota Percussion Trio has performed together since 1987. In that time, the Trio has performed in over 1000 schools, libraries, museums, and community fine arts series. At the core of MN Percussion Trio's artistic expression is their belief that music comes from the heart, and then you find something to play it on. The Trio makes use of everyday objects, a 5-gallon bucket, some old tin cans, spoons, and sheets of paper all become unlikely instruments in a fascinating "found percussion" program. Families of all ages will love this fun and educational journey into the world of contemporary percussion.

The Trio performs in collaboration with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra's Start the Music Series, Xplorchestra music concerts and CONNECT programs. The trio members are Bob Adney, Erik Barsness, and Josh Carlson. Visit MN Percussion Trio online at http://minnesotapercussiontrio.com for a sampling of their programs.

MN Percussion Trio's Kitchigami performance tour is made possible with funding from the State of Minnesota Legacy Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. For the complete schedule of MN Percussion Trio's Kitchigami performances, visit Kitchigami Regional Library at krls.org, and select Legacy events.
