WALKER — Cass County Board Tuesday approved a request from Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) to use county state aid highways (CSAH) 11 and 5 as detour routes while MnDOT installs a new bridge this year on Highway 84 in Longville.
BACKUS - Land Commissioner Joshua Stevenson reported to the county board Tuesday that all snowmobile and cross country ski trails are open, being regularly groomed and in good condition.
There is good snow cover on all trails, he said.
WALKER - Cass County Board voted Tuesday to delay placing for sale any portion of land the county owns at the former Ah-Gwah-Ching state hospital property until the board can review its own long-range plans.
BACKUS - There were 23 percent more Cass County homes sold during 2012 than 2011. There were 23 percent fewer homes foreclosed upon in 2012 than 2011.
