Carrie Ruud of Breezy Point Monday announced her candidacy for the newly created Senate District 10 seat, stating that reducing burdensome business regulations would be her top priority.
Ruud, 60, is a former state senator and Breezy Point mayor.
Hours after new political lines were drawn, Kurt Martin, the 54-year-old owner of a Brainerd technology company, announced his candidacy for the House District 10A seat which would represent much of western Crow Wing County. He’ll seek the endorsement of House District 10A Republicans.
