BAXTER — A 24-year-old Brainerd woman was arrested Tuesday in connection with the burglary and property damage that occurred at Heartland Animal Rescue Team (HART), Baxter Police Chief Jim Exsted said.
Exsted said Samantha Martin was arrested at a Brainerd home, and the missing dog that had been impounded at HART also was located at the same home. Martin is being housed in Crow Wing County Jail and charges of third-degree burglary and first-degree property damage are pending in Crow Wing County District Court.
Exsted said the investigation on the incident is ongoing.
