After ice fishing for six months I decided to take a break. I decided to see what all the buzz was about with the spring turkey hunt. So I did a little research, picked up a call and found a honey hole.
I have some good news and bad news.
With the conditions on the lakes now it is tough to get out unless you have a snowmobile but we are still not losing ice. So there will be a lot of great late ice fising left.
The snow has definitely made lake travel a little more tricky. Remember if you are traveling off the beaten path to watch out for ice chunks and drifted areas from fish houses, as they are very hidden now.
