Squash, oh, how I love fresh squash!!! And now is the time of the year to take advantage of all the great squash tastes. I usually buy butternut squash but have been experimenting with acorn squash that has a wonderful flavor too.
I was so excited to get two big bags full of crispy, juicy apples from some good friends over the weekend. I got busy and started peeling and slicing the apples to use in various recipes. I first filled my crockpot with apples to make applesauce.
One day I was hungry for spaghetti so I made a pot full of spaghetti sauce. After dinner, I divided the sauce and put it into freezer containers to use for future meals. The sauce sure came in handy for a dinner I made last week for Chicken Parmesan.
